Sweet shot! Was that lit by available light or by well-placed strobes? Either way, well captured.

Thanks! I shot it with a snoot on a single strobe. Sports wanted something "edgy" for a combo package about physical fitness and college, but they didn't want a portrait. This was my compromise: an actual workout image with severe light.
She did her normal practice, and I kept dragging my strobe around the gym to whatever apparatus she worked next. In the end, I think this was frame No. 5. I had more time to calculate the light angles while she was warming up.

There was a different image where her form is better, but her ponytail wasn't sticking strait up like in this image. It's the little things that make the difference.
