Students walk in front of the stained glass from the three previous Port Arthur high schools at Memorial High School in Port Arthur on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007. After 37 years, the PAISD was released from the desegregation order on Tuesday. During segregation, Port Arthur ISD high schools were (from left to right) Stephen F. Beautiful photography. It was on your website that I learned of the decision about desegregation. Some have learned that equality/equity issues cannot be litigated, rather they are matters of the hearts of men. Once our hearts and attitudes are changed, there is greater probability of natural mingling and interaction with each other. Beautiful website! Prof. JBG
