Is there a story tie with him standing on his hands? Got a link to the story?
Jus' cuz. We run at least two sportraits each week. I wanted his image to look different than everything else. Here's his story.
I like this shot. I understand about trying to get something different, but I would have been afraid to ask a player to do a handstand on a football. The last thing I need to do is injure the staring quarterback before the game.
Actually, he's doing a fast, forward roll. I wanted a handstand, but his jersey kept falling over his face. This image is actually cropped fairly hard because he didn't straiten his knees in this frame. I'd still like to get a full extension image.
I think it's OK to ask a young, healthy football player to do anything I could do with my old body. If a handstand would injure him through all those pads, imagine what a 300-pound tackle would do. ;-)
