News is like water.
An essential ingredient keeping us all alive.
Information is like a raindrop.
It starts so small and delicate –
Condensation around a speck of dust.
Crashing to Earth with a wet plop.
No ceremony, just fact.
Next searching and filling each nook and cranny.
Looking for something similar to join.
Gathered together it gets weight.
Sometimes a flood, it surges forward in a gush.
It expands beyond its boundaries
Destroying everything in its path.
By the end, it’s all part of a slow-moving mass
Pushing debris into the ocean.
