Port Arthur police move to secure the city after Hurricane Rita hit in Port Arthur.


The Missionary Baptist Church van shows damage after Hurricane Rita hit at the Robert A. "Bob" Bowers Civic Center in Port Arthur. The civic center was the final evacuation center for Port Arthur residents before Hurricane Rita made landfall.


Vehicles were flooded and windows shattered by Hurricane Rita at the Robert A. "Bob" Bowers Civic Center in Port Arthur. From the center, evacuees left cars behind and boarded busses to shelters in other cities.
