Taylor Landing community

Rain falls on an oxbow lake behind homes in Taylor Landing on Saturday, June 2, 2007. The city (pop. 250) incorporated in Sept. 2005 and still has no property taxes. The city has been under the leadership of a mayor and two commissioners for a year.


A plain sign welcomes residents and guests to Taylor Landing. The community is protected by the county sheriff's department and a nearby volunteer fire department.


Many upscale, traditional homes back up to a privately-owned golf course in Taylor Landing.


The Taylor Landing community's zoning allows for architecturally distinct homes in the community.
