Came by to check in and delight in your awesome photography.
Ear deep in a photojournalism class with a brilliant (albeit eccentric) professor; and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Learning lots.
One of the guys in the class tried to shoot a ball game the other day (tis the season, thank the good Lord), and he had a tough time making it work... THIS shot is what he was trying to do; I'm going to send this link to my PJ professor, perhaps he can use it to show the class how it should be shot.
I can't tell you how fascinating and exciting it is for me to look through all your shots; you are SUCH an amazing photographer.
I always learn so much when I visit here, it's an enormous help to me.

If you want an interesting shot, use this same composition, but zone focus near the end of the grass, set the aperture to f/2.8 and shoot with the longest lens available. The goal is to only have the baseball in focus. It takes some work, but the result is fairly cool. :-)
