This assignment was a very pleasant surprise. The assignment was to shoot a string quartet. So, I showed up at the venue with my camera in a blimp, a bulky sound dampener. Then I found out it’s a rockin’ string quartet. OK, maybe not rockin’, but loud enough to ditch the blimp.
There was great rejoicing in the land of Mark.
Enough for now,

Mark, the top image has lots of great design elements. I like how it's bookended with the red, and the movement flows nicely from left to right. Great expressions on the subjects as well. The DOF in the bottom one is nice, too. As a PJ, do you get verticle/horizontal requests or instructions from your editor? I find it so hard to compose verticle shots.
No instructions. We are expected to have horizontals and verticals of everything as well as looking strait, left and right (page layout). With most subjects, we must move around to get the angles.
Love that electric cello! Lucky you.
