As we saw last year, the Bon Wier volunteer fire department's station was ripped open by a fallen tree during Hurricane Rita. The tree not only damaged the station but it crushed one of the department's two fire trucks.
Although the department was able to use a jack to make the truck drivable again, it was no longer a safe vehicle.
The volunteer fire department of Brighton Township, Penn. heard of Bon Wier's problem and donated a fully-equipped 1973 Mack fire truck to replace their damaged truck.

I somwhat miss our old fire trucks here in Kona. Not that the new ones aren't spiffy, they are, but because I could always figure out where the fire trucks went due to their leaky tanker unit. I could follow their path along side streets from the water marks spilled on the turns where it sloshed out.
I totally agree with Baron. If I don't know where the location of a fire is, I can rely on the trails of water to tell me where they are.
Man, I've been doing it wrong. I've been chasing the smoke all along. ;-}
