A Creole resident burns the remains of a home in Creole, La. on Thursday, March 30, 2006. The area was largely destroyed by tornados and storm surge from Hurricane Rita.
This was surreal. He didn't mind me shooting him working. However, when I asked for his name, he said I should use his brother's name. So, all I know is his last name is Johnson and he has a younger brother named Tony. He wouldn't tell me why he didn't want to give his first name.
Since there are so few people to shoot in this area, you go with what you get.

I have studied your blog entries repeatedly and I have a question with regards to the portfolio. I understand the photos should be selected based on the needs of the client, however do all the photos need to have the same theme?
I have many individual images that are visually compelling and editorial in nature however, they are not part of a series and they are not related to the subject of the other selected images.
Also, do you have any feelings about including landscape pictures that are not editorial in style but showcase the photographers style, composition, use of light, etc.?

What you'll notice is images separated into groups. If a client isn't interested in a group (food for example), they won't look there. However, a restaurant chain may only look at the food images. Each client picks what they want to see.
I have a section of Phosaics. It is a process I want to promote. You might want to call one section "art." It would be a catch-all for images that don't fit elsewhere.
