Rangers' Rod Barajas (No. 27, right) braces for impact at home plate as Toronto's Russ Adams (No. 8, left) slides into the out at Ameriquest Field in Arlington on Friday, September 10, 2004. The Rangers won the game.

Go Rangers. In my family we root for the Braves first, then (heavy phlem on my part) the Yankees and then the Rangers. Your blog is a great help and inspiration. Please don't stop with the photo tips. Currently I am forced to use the Nikon D70 and hate it for sports. Any experience/tips?

I don't know much about cameras I don't personally use. The shutter lag problem is something each photographer must test and learn the compensation time. This is why the high-end digital cameras are so expensive: shutter lag measured in m-seconds.
