This isn't Dallas

From my balcony I saw at least four deer grazing next to the basketball court across the drive. I'll see if I can get them in some decent light soon. Otherwise, I might try the Normans with a four-foot box one night. ;-}

Enough for now,

UPDATE: 4/17/2005 - Darn rubberneckers

At 4 a.m. I was watching a deer in the field across the drive. I heard some tires squeal and the rapid, high-pitch click of a fender bender in the direction of Wal-Mart. I looked to see what happened and lost sight of the deer. When I spotted the deer again, it had run across the field to see what happened.

I never knew deer were rubberneckers. Whodathunk.

BTW, there's also some cows living in the field. Fay found them most amusing.

That would be a cool shot. Deer in the spotlight. Glad to hear you're settled in fine.

If you can't get enough light, you could always use a scope.

Oh, you meant the other kind of shot.

Y'all come on back home to Dallas now.

I'd say that door closed for the foreseeable future. I'll return to be with my family and as a visitor, but my home will probably be elsewhere as long as I'm in this biz.

Hey, Mark! Glad you're here. Until pretty recently, even with the mall out there, people used to see a lot more deer than they do now. With the area growing so rapidly, you better get your deer photos soon!
