Girls soccer player OTY

West Brook High School junior Lauri Thibaut poses for a portrait at the school in Beaumont on Thursday, April 28, 2005. Thibaut was named by The Beaumont Enterprise to the Super Gold Soccer Team and the girls soccer player of the year.

I bet she loved this photograph. Very hot instead of your typical All-American girl-next-door look, yet still tame enough to keep the parents and school officials calm. Nice way to go beyond the "average" shoot like this.

How did you get her hair to do that...did you ask her to flip her head or are you using a fan?

In response to picturegrl's comment: I 'spect that you employed the flipping thing-ing that girls do because at that strength, a fan would blow all the hair in one direction. Great, unusual shot. I am positive that the girl and her old man approved.

This never would have run in Dallas. Here, the A.M.E. only got two calls ... both were positive (much shock and disbelief in the world o' Mark).

Very good Marie, you get two cookies. :-)
To get the shot, I had her face away from me and turn rapidly toward the camera. I waited for her hair to catch up with the rest of her head to get the shot.
The boy version of this shot (TK) isn't very similar because he has a crew cut and this pose is a bit fem for a guy.
