Hey, I know this does not have much to do with this post. I just read your post concerning archiving film negatives, what kind of advice do you have concerning digital storage. Should I keep a hard copy as well as a digital version? How should I back up my images? I have been into photography since I was 12 (6 years now) I just recently moved up from a 10+ year old film SLR to a canon rebel xt so I have thousands of both film and digital images and I am not sure what the best way to store them all together would be. Thanks. -Andy
Mark care to share your light setup here?
Mac,
Try Create a personal digial workflow and Organizing an archive.
Justin,
It's just The Beast with a 3x4' 2X softbox about 5 feet from the subject. Nothing fancy other than me not spotting the freaking Dairy Queen sign. But, I only had 5 minutes for the shoot (high, low, left, right, mug, out).
I suppose one helpful trick from a low angle is to have the subject bend at the waist. Then, their face is flat to the camera and closer to proportion than the normal wide-angle (pea-head) distortion.
