Did this kitten decline to give its name? Exactly how old is this kitten? Who are its parents? Why are its markings different than that of its siblings? Is it really standing guard, or perhaps is it timid and waiting to get in to eat its share of the food?

Ok, enough of that. It's a very cute picture. I'm sure Carmen will love it too.

Hablo un poco espaƱol, pero no hablo gato y perro.

Since you asked (and I happen to know), cats breed multiple times during their heats. If they breed to the same male, the kittens look alike, if they cat around and meet several males, the kittens all look different.

Yes, the kitten is standing guard. It's the least timid around people and ate first.

This is Friday Ark material... and a cute pic.

Mind if I submit this along with my normal dogblogging efforts?

I don't speak much cat or dog, either. I did not know that fact about cats. I know a lot about them, but I never knew that. Interesting.

I've submitted you to this week's ark, but there's no telling when it'll show up since the guy who does it is on a camping trip.
