Very nice for your first "official" shoot for the paper. I am embarassed to admit that although I love music, I am not familiar with The Doobie Brothers. I am showing my age, I suppose. Still, you kill me with your ability to nail exposure, like the skin tones in the little boy playing chess and the vibrant guitar colors in this one. Concerts are always in strange light and you handled it nicely. Have fun on your trip to Louisiana.
Thank you.
They're a big 1970s band, most folks know their songs even if they don't know the name of the band. Their site is at www.doobiebros.com. Most people recognize at least three songs from the Toulouse Street album.
We're not going to La. this weekend. My sister (who's more like my mother) became very sick last night. So, we are going to stay available for her. We wanted to go see her in Dallas, but she said she'd rather wait until she's feeling better.
Right on. Nice initiation shot. With this you've no doubt built an instant fan base in Beaumont, something that many PJs spend weeks doing. Agree with picturegrl about exposure, too. Nice work.
Ah, yes. I went to the website. I do recognize some of the songs. I am not as young as I like to think I am :-)
I'm so glad you posted that one. I wanted to see it digitally rather than in the paper. Beautiful!
Takes me back to that episode of "Good Times" where the Doobies played and Rerun bootlegged. When is Skynyrd coming to Beaumont? Nice work.
Tom
Laurie,
Here's a link to the concert photos on Beaumont Enterprise website.
I hadn't heard about Skynyrd, but Styx is playing soon. :-)
